This master's thesis examines the evolution of inter-communal conflict in Cyprus between 1948-1974, focusing on the domestic factors that contributed to ethnic polarization and analyzing the gradual mobilization and politicization of both Turkish and Greek Cypriot communities in the lead-up to the events of 1974.
